The 45° Inlet Z-Pipe by Formula Z Performance takes the patent-pending Z-Pipe design and angles the inlets 45° for exhaust routing a straight crossover cannot reach — the same unrestricted performance as the Straight Classic, packaged for tighter, angled approaches. Engineered with precision, the Z-Pipe maintains a consistent, unrestricted exhaust pathway without reducing cross-sectional area, promoting smooth, high-velocity gas flow and increasing exhaust scavenging. This advanced design improves throttle response throughout the entire RPM range and boosts volumetric efficiency.
This 3.500" ID version is the largest-bore Z-Pipe in the lineup, built for maximum-flow dual exhaust systems running 3.500" tubing — big-power builds where full cross-section through the crossover is non-negotiable.
Each Z-Pipe is precisely crafted from high-quality 316L stainless steel using advanced Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) and Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technologies, ensuring unmatched accuracy and durability — internal geometry that cannot be fabricated from mandrel-bent tube. Installation is straightforward as the Z-Pipe sits completely downstream of all emissions components, and its compact size makes it perfect even for the tightest installations. APPLICATIONS
The Classic model covers 80–85% of modified vehicles: front-engine cars with rear-exit dual exhaust. It installs downstream of all emissions components in place of a traditional X-pipe or H-pipe — match the Z-Pipe ID to your exhaust tubing size. The 45° Inlet is best suited to ground-up builds and space-limited routing where the piping approaches the crossover at an angle; if you are retrofitting an existing straight-through system, the Straight Classic is the default choice, and the Ultra-Narrow Straight Classic covers the tightest tunnel clearances.
